Eight of the 15 cities or towns with the largest population gains were located in the South in 2017, with three of the top five in Texas, according to new population estimates released today by the U.S. Census Bureau.
“San Antonio, Texas, tops the list with the largest population gain with an increase of over 24,200 people – an average of 66 people per day between 2016 and 2017,” said Amel Toukabri, a demographer in the Population Division of the Census Bureau. “That’s a growth rate of 1.6 percent. This growth was enough to push San Antonio's population above the 1.5 million mark.”
Some of the other cities with the largest population gains were Phoenix, Ariz. (24,000); Dallas, Texas (18,900); Fort Worth, Texas (18,700); Los Angeles, Calif. (18,600); Seattle, Washington (17,500); and Charlotte, N.C. (15,600).

The service is available until the truck fills up. We have yet to fill a truck, so please bring all you want! The event also serves as a fundraiser for the New Life Center, a refuge against domestic violence. Donations will be collected at our office. Their current wish list of donation items is below. When it comes to golf in the Phoenix West Valley, it always seems to be compared to golf on the East side of town, namely Scottsdale. Across the United States, and around the world for that matter, people know some of the best golf can be found in Scottsdale, AZ.
With that being said, there are many popular courses on the West side of town that are just as worthy as their East-side companions. The good thing about West Valley golf courses is that there are options where you can get the quality of those in Scottsdale, but at a fraction of the cost. Many of them were designed by some of the big names in golf, so you can trust you are going to get a good experience. If you happen to live in this area, or you are planning a visit, it may be worth giving them a try.
